How Fast is the Broadband Connection
It wasn't that long ago when dialup was the only method of accessing the internet. Now Broadband is providing ever faster speeds. Broadband now ranges from 1mbs to 22mbs and this is likely to continue as new technology is developed. Most Broadband providers offer between 1mbs to 8mbs and you shouldn't have any problems finding a fast service. In our view faster Broadband is the bestter Broadband, especially if you have a few computers on the internet at the same time.
Any Monthly Download Limits
Some of the Broadband providers restrict the amount of downloads you can do in any months. Depending on how much you use the internet or how many files you download this may not matter. If you are a heavy broadband user then you need to look out for deals that are preferably unlimited or have a larghe download allowance.
Any Equipment provided for Free
It used to be that Broadband providers charged extra for equipment installation and for Broadband routers or modems. Broadband deals are changing and it is now possible to get a free Broadband router or modem included in the deal..
Contract Length
Most Broadband internet providers insist on a minimum contract length. Typically these vary between 12 and 18 months. There are some Broadband providers that have no minimum contract length requiremnts and therefore offer the most flexible Broadband deal.
Monthly Cost of Ownership
Broadband packages today are all fixed price per month. This means budgeting is easy. However, watch out for hidden extras including a one off connection fee, or installations charges, or equipment fees for a broadband router or modem.
